Amusement Business
NIRAKU CORPORATION is our principal operating subsidiary, which is primarily engaged in the operation and management of pachinko halls. NIRAKU CORPORATION also operates a Spanish restaurant franchise in Tokyo under the brand “LIZARRAN” and a hotel above one of our pachinko hall in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, both of which are our ancillary business and are insignificant when compared to our business and financial position as a whole.
Pachinko Hall Business
Pachinko is one of the most popular forms of entertainment in Japan. Pachinko has a long history and was first developed as a children’s game, and evolved into an adult pastime. Recently with significant changes and improvements to the machines, as at the end of 2014, there were approximately 4,000 pachinko hall operators in Japan, offering a wide variety of pachinko and pachislot games.
We were the fourth largest pachinko hall operator in Japan and the largest pachinko hall operator in Fukushima in 2013, according to the Entertainment Business Institute. We focus all our operations in Northeast Honshu, especially Fukushima, Tokyo and their neighbouring and conjoining prefectures.

About Pachinko
Pachinko is one of the most popular forms of entertainment for adults in Japan and has a long history, dating back to the early twentieth century.
Pachinko is similar in appearance to a pinball machine and is played by firing pachinko balls in rapid succession into a playing field, with the aim of firing them into designated pockets that release bonus pachinko balls.
Pachislot is similar in appearance to a traditional slot machine and is played by inserting pachislot tokens to spin its image reels, with the aim of stopping the reels at a winning matching combination, which will release bonus pachislot tokens.
Generally, players aim to collect the most number of balls and tokens, which can either be saved for subsequent visits, or more notably, exchanged for prizes.
Games Center Business
Subsidiary Dream Games Singapore Pte. Ltd operates Japanese-style amusement facilities centered on games, bowling, kids playground, and similar activities through subsidiary companies in Vietnam and Cambodia. At present, 9 locations in Vietnam and 2 locations in Cambodia have been developed.
Hotel Business
We have been operating a hotel called Koriyama City Hotel, which is a business hotel with basic amenities, since 1979. It is located in the centre of Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, next to the Koriyama railway station. It is a 11-storey hotel with a gross floor area of 2,944.38 sq m and 84 guest rooms.
Food Business
Niraku Corporation and Comess Group De Restauración S.K., an independent third party, entered into a franchise agreement, whereby Comess Group granted Niraku Corporation the exclusive rights to open a network of “Lizarran” restaurants in Japan.
Comess Group is a reputable restaurant group that has over 10 years' experience in operating and franchising multiple restaurant brands and over 300 restaurant establishments across the world.
We entered into this franchise agreement in order to diversify our business and because our Directors viewed this as a sound business opportunity. A side benefit is also an added level of hospitality training for our employees, as we will periodically rotate selected employees to serve at our restaurants.
In August 2017, we opened a 109-seat LIZARRAN restaurant, our flagship store, in Tokyo.
NIRAKU CORPORATION has entered into a franchise agreement with Komeda Co.,LTD., which developed the Komeda‘s Coffee chain of full-service coffee shops, originally born in Nagoya. With over 820 stores domestic and foreign, Komeda's Coffee is one of Japan's leading coffee shop chains.
NIRAKU CORPORATION has entered a franchise agreement with Gong Cha Japan, which is expanding the Gong Cha chain, originally from Taiwan. Gong Cha is a global tea brand with over 1,600 stores in 20 countries internationally.
Realestate Business
Nexia is real estate ownership and investment company.
The real estate portfolio of Nexia contained land and buildings to operate a pachinko hall, building for the hotel, office buildings and apartments for rent.

Niraku Merrist Corporation has been engaged in the employment business of handicapped persons. In recognition of our efforts to employ handicapped persons, the Japan Organization for Employment of the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities issued us an Award of Outstanding Offices for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities in 2012.
